Going where others cannot go

Most people think the bigger the crane, the better it is. After all, isn’t bigger, better? Why do people think this on a lot of lifts? It is because the crane cannot get close enough to do the lift. You need a larger crane to make it reach further. But what if you could get closer? What if you could put a mini crane somewhere other then the driveway or street?

How many homes in the city of Toronto have streets that are so tight and/or busy, a large cranes cannot be used on them? Those same homes might have a side or back laneway where a smaller crane could be used to lift something over a fence or garage. This is one good reason to always have a good relationship with your neighbour. You never know when you might need their help to get something into your yard.

In cottage country, large cranes have no ability to fit down a lot of roads and/or driveways. Let alone reach from the driveway to where you really need it. Now imagine a spider crane that can not only get to your cottage, but can also drive all over your property. To lift those heavy items into place for you.

Using a spider crane to lift a large china cabinet on to an apartment building balcony because it was too large to fit in the elevator.
Using a mini crane to lift a large china cabinet on to an apartment building balcony because it was too large to fit in the elevator. A regular crane was not an option due to the underground parking lot weight restrictions.

When you are craning something, there is only two things that really matter. Weight and Distance.

The heavier the item and the further you need to reach out, the bigger the crane required. Now imagine if you can shorten the distance. By placing the crane somewhere else. Less distance means a smaller the crane could be used. Just like you want the right tool for the job. You want the right crane for your lift.
